This policy explains how the Kara Kaplı Defter app handles your personal data. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

In short: You sign in with Apple or Google to use the app. To tie your free trial and subscription to your account, only an account number and your trial start date are stored on secure servers; your email and name are handled by the sign-in service, not stored by us. The records you keep in your ledger (collections, payments, current accounts, notes, receipt/invoice photos) stay only on your phone; they are never sent to our servers. The app has no ads, analytics, or tracking.

1. Who we are

Kara Kaplı Defter is a mobile app offered by Hüseyin Özefe under the KobiAssist brand. This policy applies to your use of the app on iOS and Android. Contact details are at the bottom.

2. Sign-in and account data

Signing in is required to use the app: Sign in with Apple on iOS, Sign in with Google on Android. The following is received at sign-in:

Your email address (if you choose Apple's "Hide My Email", this may be a private relay address);
Your name (only if you choose to share it at first sign-in);
A stable account number tied to your account.

We use this only for two purposes: (1) to tie your free trial and subscription entitlement to your account — to prevent abuse — and (2) to let you delete your account whenever you wish. It is not used for advertising or profiling, and is never shared with or sold to third parties.

3. Where your data is stored

Your account number and trial start date: stored on secure servers in the European Union. Your email and name are held by the sign-in authentication service.
Your ledger records (collections/payments, current accounts, notes, photos): kept only in your device's own storage; never sent to our servers.

4. Camera and photos

If you choose to attach a receipt/invoice photo, camera or gallery access is requested. The photos you choose are stored only on your device and are not uploaded to the cloud.

5. Exchange and gold rates

For informational purposes, current currency and gold rates are fetched from a third-party financial data service. No personal data of yours is shared in these requests.

6. Subscription and free trial

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We have no access to your payment or card details; we do not see or store them.

7. Notifications

Notification permission for due-date and trial reminders is requested only when you take a relevant action (not on first launch). You can turn it off from your device settings at any time.

8. What we do not collect

The app contains no analytics, no usage tracking, no behavioral tracking, and no advertising. No third-party software that tracks your behavior is used. We do not match your identity with other sources.

9. Backup and changing phones

You can export your ledger records as a single backup file and move it to your new phone (Android ↔ iPhone). This backup file is entirely under your control: you decide where to save it and whom to share it with. The backup is not sent to us.

10. Your rights and deleting your account

Your rights to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are reserved. You can permanently delete your account from within the app (Settings › Delete account): your sign-in account and its record on the server are deleted. The ledger records on your device are not affected and remain with you. For questions, reach us through the channels below.

11. Children

The app is intended for business owners and tradespeople; it is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the "Last updated" date above.
